Miscellaneous #1
It's been a lovely day in Atlanta, with blue skies and the sun shining. I spent the afternoon at the park just blocks from our apartment, doing some reading for work and my quiet time. Spring is here, my friends!
Miscellaneous #2
I also (not while at the park) took some time and put together a little "about me" page, that spells out a little more of my story and sheds light on the journey that has brought me to where I am today. A bite-sized blog biography if you will.
If you haven't noticed it yet, I also recently added a makeshift table of contents/directory on the top right-hand side of the blog layout, right below our polaroid picture, to help categorize the different topics I usually blog about, whether it's books, decorating, cooking, my faith, etc.
Miscellaneous #3
Finally my mother-in-law has been a great resource in helping me learn how to cook, recommending recipes and even sending me a bread-machine cookbook for my birthday (thanks Jenni!!). Today she emailed me another recipe for my files:
It is from the, "Mommy & Me Cookbook: Wee School - Ms. Miriam & Ms. Jeanette's Class." It was published in 1993 and has a picture on the front cover of an adorable little blond-haired boy with big blue eyes in an apron and chef's hat. This is the recipe:
Green Beans
by Michael S.
Go to the store to buy them. Then you put them in a pan and cook them on the stove. I don't know how long to cook them. I guess until the buzzer goes off. Then you put them on a plate and eat them. They're real good!
(In case it isn't totally clear, this is a recipe from my husband, when he was around age 5 or 6.) It's had me grinning all day!
