Spirit-Led Parenting: A Giveaway!

This week, I've been highlighting a book I read when things were crazy for me with Claire. It was a much-needed balm to my soul during those days, that I wanted to make sure that you all were aware of it, too. You can read my full review of the book here. And you can also read some more back-story to the book in a guest post that one of the book's authors, Laura Oyer, wrote here.

But finally, you can have the chance to win a copy of your own! Laura is graciously providing three books for Life Blessons readers to win, so take a moment now to comment on this post and let me know why you want to win a copy of this book. Then, on Friday, July 12th, I'll select three winners to get a copy of Spirit-Led Parenting by Megan Tietz and Laura Oyer.

(If you're reading this in your email or in an RSS reader, make sure to click over to the comments and leave your comment about why you want to win this book. Also, make sure I have a way to contact you if you're one of the three winners!)

  2. I would love to read this! I have 3 children, age 3 and under!! I feel so blessed yet overwhelmed some days that I am parenting these little guys like God wants me to. I feel so busy just doing basic stuff (housework) that I sometimes make that my focus & frustration. Children are a blessing and we are their influence. Am I a good influence? I want to be. I hope I am.

  3. My husband and I have been married just over a year and are expecting our first baby in October. I have been following you since our engagement and I have been so blessed by your honesty in marriage, pregnancy, in labor and especially in your early months as a mommy. It is quite an adventure ahead and I love getting counsel from more experienced, godly women!

  4. We are in the midst of experiencing colic with our 8 week old and it is exhausting beyond measure. The books (and parents with experience) don't say just how difficult it is to have a baby that screams most of their waking hours and hardly sleeps. This book would be a much needed balm for our spirits, as they are pretty low right now. Thanks for sharing about this book.

  5. I would LOVE to read this book! And win a free copy! I have a 5 month old, Lily, and have been struggling with what is right for HER and right for ME and right for US. In the midst of many opinions about how we should raise her in the past few months, I found myself feel that I'm "sinning" if I'm not following a prescribed method of parenting. My husband has helped me break free of that, but I would love to read an example of giving this parenting thing over to God wholly!

  6. I am getting to the point with Archer where I am unsure how to respond to his tantrums/strong-willed nature. I want to learn how to be a better parent! Though I'm not sure when I'd read a book...

  7. I would love a copy of this book! I am about to give birth to my first child in a couple of weeks (hopefully sooner) and I have been inundated with advice from those around me and by parenting books/articles. I need to get back to basics.

  9. I would love to win a copy of the book. After your first review of it I felt it was a must-read so I bought it for my Kindle. My daughter is 10 months now, but oh, how I wish I had my hands on this book in the early months! My sister just had a baby last Monday and if I won a copy of the book I would pass it on to her.

  10. What a fantastic giveaway! I would love to win this book to read to make me a better parent. I had my hands full with our first and think I could have benefited from this type of thinking. I hope to have another, and this would be perfect for me. Thank you!

  12. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win a copy! Not a parent yet, but some of the issues that Megan and Laura address, and the guest post written are exactly why we don't feel prepared for parenting yet. This book may be just what my husband and I need. Thanks for all that you do as well, with regards to letting us into some very tough and rewarding aspects to parenting.

  14. My husband and I have recently recommited to Jesus Christ. We now have a wonderful church we attend, and we pray together as a family. We have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, ages 5 and 1. Sometimes it's hard to keep a Christ-like heart when your kids are screaming and throwing things, or having a full blown temper tantrum. I would love to win this book to help me become a loving, Christ led parent.

  16. My family upbringing was less than ideal (Catholic) and picturing how we raise our children spiritually will be a new endeavor. We are also trying to get pregnant so that is a worry that I have to learn to give to God.
