Shopping My Closet for Crafts

I mentioned awhile ago that I would share some of the crafts I've been working on to update some pieces I no longer wear from my closet. Most of the changes are very minor, but have helped give each piece the extra dose of personality it needed.

I still have a couple more fashion-related projects on my craft to-do list, but for now, here's some of the progress I've made with four recent crafts from my closet:

What's On My Craft To-Do List

  1. It seems like I always can make the time to start a project from scratch, but mending or fitting my clothes for some reason gets put on the back burner. Good for you for working your way through your closet. I need to do the same.

I'd love it if you came and linked up this post at my Top-toberfest Show and Tell. I'm celebrating shirts all week long. If you have any other shirt related posts (refashioned, embellished, made from scratch, etc. ) Please feel free to link them up.

  2. So cool! I LOVE the belt on that green top/dress. Beautiful!

  3. your so crafty! love this sweater with the ribbon on the side. it completely revamps the sweater and makes it new :)

  4. Thanks so much, ladies! I appreciate the kind words and encouragement!

  5. SO adorable, Carmen! Awesome job! :-)

  6. Love the ideas! I did this a few times with my daughter's clothes to dress them up a little. I've got a green shirt of hers waiting in my mending pile. I need to hem the bottom, and I'd like to try using a bleach pen over the stains to see if I can transform the shirt back into something wearable.
